Diploma in Public Administration
The Diploma in Public Administration provides foundational knowledge and practical skills in governance, public policy, administrative management, and community development. The programme blends theory with hands-on training through projects and case studies, preparing students to support the effective functioning of public institutions and organizations.
Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles in government agencies, local councils, NGOs, and community development projects, and can progress into the Bachelor of Public Administration to further advance their careers and leadership potential.

Direct Entry

Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent, with at least five passes including English and Mathematics.

Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least two principal passes obtained at the same sitting.

Essential subjects may include: Economics, Entrepreneurship, Mathematics, Geography, Literature, Computer Studies, and other business-related subjects.

General Paper is desirable.
Diploma Entry

A relevant Diploma in Public Administration or any related field from a recognized institution.

Diploma holders may be admitted to Year Two of the DJR programme, subject to credit evaluation.
Mature Age Entry

Applicants aged 25 years and above with UCE or its equivalent may be admitted after passing the Mature Age Entry Examination, as per NCHE guidelines.
