Diploma in Information Technology (DIT)
The Diploma in Information Technology provides students with practical skills in computer hardware, software, networking, and information systems. The programme blends foundational theory with hands-on training in labs and real-world applications, equipping learners with the technical abilities needed to support and manage digital systems in modern organisations.
Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles in IT support, network maintenance, computer repair, and basic systems administration, and can progress into the Bachelor of Information Technology for advanced study and career growth.

Direct Entry

Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent, with at least five passes including English and Mathematics.

Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least two principal passes obtained at the same sitting.

Essential subjects may include: Economics, Entrepreneurship, Mathematics, Geography, Literature, Computer Studies, and other business-related subjects.

General Paper is desirable.
Diploma Entry

A relevant Diploma in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field from a recognized institution.

Diploma holders may be admitted to Year Two of the BBA programme, subject to credit evaluation.
Mature Age Entry

Applicants aged 25 years and above with UCE or its equivalent may be admitted after passing the Mature Age Entry Examination, as per NCHE guidelines.
