Diploma in Social Work & Administration
The Diploma in Social Work and Administration at Uganda Pentecostal University provides learners with practical skills and foundational knowledge to support individuals, families, and communities. The programme introduces students to social work principles, counselling basics, community mobilization, administration, and social policy, blending classroom learning with field practice.
Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles in social services, community development, NGOs, and local government, and can progress to the Bachelor’s degree in Social Work & Administration to further advance their professional skills and career opportunities.

1. Direct Entry

Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent with at least five passes, including English.

Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least two principal passes obtained in the same sitting.

Relevant subjects may include: Economics, Geography, Sociology, History, Literature, Entrepreneurship, Mathematics, Political Education, and other arts or social science subjects.

General Paper is desirable.
2. Diploma Entry

A relevant Diploma in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Diploma holders may be admitted to Year Two, subject to credit evaluation and faculty approval.
3. Mature Age Entry

Applicants must be 25 years or older with UCE or its equivalent.

Admission is granted upon passing the Mature Age Entry Examination, in accordance with NCHE guidelines.
