Bachelor of Science in Education (BSCED)

The Bachelor of Science in Education (BScEd) at Uganda Pentecostal University equips students with strong scientific knowledge and effective teaching skills to excel as educators in STEM and science-related subjects. The program combines theoretical foundations in science, mathematics, and pedagogy with practical teaching experience, including lesson planning, classroom management, and educational research.

 

Graduates are prepared to teach at secondary and higher levels, contribute to curriculum development, and support STEM initiatives in schools and communities. The program also provides a solid foundation for postgraduate studies in science education, educational leadership, or specialized scientific disciplines.

  • Credential: Bachelor's Degree

  • Duration: Three Years

  • Mode of Delivery: Physical Classes; on Campus

  • Language of Delivery: English

Graduates of the BScEd at Uganda Pentecostal University are prepared for diverse roles in science education, STEM leadership, and educational development. Key opportunities include:

  • Secondary School Teacher / Science Educator – teaching mathematics, physics, chemistry, or biology.

  • STEM Curriculum Developer – designing and evaluating science and mathematics teaching materials.

  • Educational Administrator / School Leader – managing schools, coordinating academic programs, and supervising teaching staff.

  • Science Education Coordinator / Trainer – organizing teacher training, workshops, and capacity-building initiatives.

  • Educational Researcher / Policy Assistant – conducting studies, evaluating programs, and supporting education policy development.

  • Community Science Outreach Officer – implementing STEM awareness and literacy programs in schools and communities.

Graduates may also pursue postgraduate studies in science education, educational leadership, or specialized scientific fields to advance into senior teaching, academic, or research roles.
